Ingredients:

day old bread, eggs

this is a staple of my families diet. Similar to french toast but less messy and easier to make.

All you need is day old bread and egg's, but cheese and salt and pepper and herbs won't hurt is their available

first heat your cast iron skillet you want it searing hot add bread that's been cut down to crouton size, as that toasts up, beat egg's together cover bread with egg's and stir. (add cheese salt pepper and herbs if you have them here at the end)

my kids love ketchup on top too . . .

And that's it a great breakfast or lunch in less then 5 minutes

wipe out the skillet wash the bowl you beat the egg's in and dust off the chopping block you cut the bread on, easy quick meal that won't make you or your kitchen a mess

Method:

cast iron skillet cooking
